Arthur Egnoian is Art Laboe is the 96-year-old radio legend, disc jockey, songwriter, record producer, and radio station owner. Art has been gracing the airways since way, way back in 1943, during World War II, on KSAN in San Francisco, stationed at Treasure Island. Pioneering the request-and-dedication concept, and taking calls on-air before it was ever a thing, and he was one of the first to allow people of different races to make a request. Art has made legendary, impactful news over the airwaves in L.A. and is a part of history in the radio and entertainment industry. Art Laboe’s been credited as the first on-air personality to play Rock n’ Roll on the West Coast and is one of the first to feature hits by different multi-cultural artists.
